This is by far the most uniquely beautiful place I've ever stayed. The rooms are huge, every little thing has been thought about, from the robes and slippers in your room, to your own large water dispenser. The owners couldn't have been more welcoming and I felt fully refreshed after 2 days here. I will 100% be back!

I can’t describe the feeling I had about this magical place in the middle of the jungle between the rice fields. It’s really breathtaking. The people where also very kind and hospitable to me and they made me feel so welcome. I would love to come back to this place really soon and do yoga in the jungle. This is one of the most beautiful retreats I have been. Amazing resort, it is located in the jungle with amazing rice field views and the vibe is just incredible. A unique experience, highly recommend it.

This place was amazing! Never visited anything more peaceful, friendly and/or beautiful. The owners are great people, they truely make you feel at home. It’s great for a long stay, but for a short stay too (I’d recommend the long stay tho, for the full experience).

Oh my gosh, this place is stunning. Best stay I’ve had on my 3 weeks trip around many places in ubud and canggu. This place has so much soul and attention to details is impeccable. They also helped me with my missed bookings (I made a mistake on Airbnb), and were super friendly and nice. I loved the rooms, the design, and took a ton of Instagram shots here. Lovely view, beautiful meditation deck. Just wow.

A fabulous retreat and amazing energy. Mother nature provided the perfect back drop and choir to set the scene for my morning meditation and yoga session. A creative energy fills every space from the comfortable rooms, the Yin Yang Pool to the tropical gardens. Fresh juices and food available on site. Although only a few minutes ride to the centre of Ubud, once I arrived I didn't want or need to leave. Make sure you get your INSTA shots on the giant Hand deck Every thing about this retreat oozed care, love and regeneration.

I came to Basundari to disconnect from a hectic every day city life and I must say my stay has exceeded all my expectations. The morning yoga was very very good, I liked the pace at which it was done (you could take your time to settle into the pose), and appreciated how the yoga instructor took his time to ensure everyone had their poses correct. I also had one kundalini yoga session and that too was great. The yoga deck is surrounded by beautiful scenery and sounds of nature. Don’t be lazy to get up in the morning! The room was absolutely beautiful and so natural with all the wood elements in it, a swing where I enjoyed reading my book and the view to the fields where I could see the cows and chickens, it was just priceless. Having looked at a number or different options I can say Basundari offers the best value for money in Ubud for the kind of experience it provides. I would definitely return and will recommend this place to friends. Thank you for a great experience to the whole team at Basundari!

Perfect location near the jungle and rice paddies. Quiet neighborhood. Big and clean rooms. Free, unlimited drinking water. Refreshing water temperature in the swimming pool. Professional and polite personnel. Everything work, all rooms facilities in a good condition. Nice furniture and interior design. This place is more spiritual than some temples on Bali ;-D Highly recommend. The Owner who has got a knowledge, know how to manage this kind of place.

Absolutely beautiful stay at Basundari. My partner and I spent four nights which was just perfect. It is such a tranquil, relaxing place and the perfect opportunity to reconnect with nature and participate in healthy and holistic style living. The morning yin yoga was a very special practice, one we will not forget for a long time. A great pool, friendly and welcoming staff who would do anything to make stay comfortable and easy.

The property is absolute heaven for people that want to escape in the nature of the jungle! Very quiet and relaxing environment! Amazing rooms, just find the right one for you as every one is unique 😊 The owner is amazing person who built the whole center with so much love and attention to detail as his own home, saving the nature around and not cutting even one three. He is having and amazing Yin Yoga classes in the morning for the yoga lovers! Really recommend theme! Staff is amazing extremely friendly and helping with anything you need! I loved this room, terrace, location. We had feeling that we are along with the nature. From one side rice fields, from another jungle with all nature sounds. Very beautiful and peaceful hotel. 10 min drive from Ubud centre where we went for a dinner. Great place to stay if you want to explore Ubud.

Great people ...even we arrived late and everything was closed around, and were hungry, they organized a plate with sandwiches and fruits....that was very kind from their side. The location is just amazing, we really enjoyed the yoga classes in the morning. The rooms are just like in the pictures, very beautiful and clean. We really liked everything, it actually exceed our expectations, and we just can’t wait to come back.

Everything. From the staff taking care of us upon arrival to the owner of the place, who was really attentive and caring throughout all our stay. The explanation of all the facilities in the area and in the room was unique. We had a great time there and if we would have had more time, we would have extended our stay for sure. We would recommend this place to anybody who wants tranquillity and peace, connected with nature and yoga.

Cannot fault our stay at Basundari Hotel. After a rough start to our trip, we arrived at Basundari and Dario, and his team, could not have given more assistance to make us feel comfortable and get us on our way to enjoying our holiday. Extremely friendly and always on hand for advice on trips & the local area. The hotel is in an amazing setting right in the jungle with Rice fields adjacent. If you're looking to get into nature and relax then this hotel will be ideal for you. Location is a short 10 minute drive into the centre of Ubud making it easy to explore and also for nipping in for food. We would definitely stay here again.

The best Hotel I have experienced in Bali so far ! Really love the place and the atmosphere. The hotel is build into the environment, facing the jungle and in the middle of the Ricefields. It's a lovely and quite place with only nature sounds around + a view from your room on rice terraces or jungle. The honor and the staff are just so nice. They are here to help you feel like home and to give you all the information you need. The room, the decorations, breakfast serve in room... everything is perfect ! I stayed here for 4 nights and it was a pleasant experience! First and foremost, this place is gorgeous and tranquil at the same time. Such a gem as it's located next to a lush forest & paddy fields, yet it's pretty close from the city center. It is a perfect place if you prefer a quiet environment; I found the environment very conducive for my daily meditation and reflection practice. The cleanliness and the service are top notch. The owners and all staff are helpful, respectful, and very very very hospitable. Would 100% recommend this place to folks who want to engross in Ubud's serenity! 🙂

I needed a break from the busy Canggu and the Basundari villa was the best choice! So far the best place I stayed in Ubud! The room was impeccable with a gorgeous view of the jungle which made the stay super relaxing! Right next to my room there is a yoga barn with all the essentials you would need. The decoration as you can see from the pictures is absolutely beautiful and I cannot think of one single thing that is missing! On top of a great stay, the hosts went above and beyond to ensure I was ok and happy. I even forgot my phone charger and they sent it via GoJek! Honestly, a great stay! The. Most. Beautiful. Hotel. Ever! Seriously, I have travelled all across Bali over the past few years but have never come across a hotel this serene, surrounded by nature, with the most beautiful facilities for yoga and meditation. Wish we could’ve stayed there longer but now we have discovered this hidden gem we will definitely be back. We had a warm welcome from the owner and we could even have a peek in all of the other mesmerizing rooms, each having their own style and unique decoration. I could keep on writing but you will have to see for yourself 🙂 absolutely worth it!! And great value for money. Thanks to the staff and see you soon!!

This hotel is very far from Ubud town and without a motorbike you are at the drivers ' mercy ,who will likely rip you off. It is very well maintained and rooms are very clean but the common grounds such as pool are smaller than in picture and there is a room facing the pool so While I was trying to chill at the pool I had to listen to a loud phone conversation of guest. There is no lounges apart from the yoga room. Breakfast is scarce and no glass of juice included. This place is suitable for people with minimalistic life standards. The staff is very friendly though and I will give them 5 stars*****
